It isn’t often that I get to see something totally new and exciting from the air, but yesterday was the day. On a seven hour flight through Dallas, NE Texas, out to Brady (the geographical center of Texas) and finally Marble Falls, I decided to take a quick detour by Lake Buchanan.
Several years ago, I took a friend and his son out for a cruise. They tagged along while I did a photo flight at Horseshoe Bay, and my friend told me about these really cool waterfalls along the Colorado river, north of Lake Buchanan. Of course, they weren’t flowing then, due to the lack of water, but it dawned on me that we’ve had a LOT of rain lately.
Long story short, with a brief detour, I was able to find the scene depicted in the photo below.
